Captain’s (B)Log: Friday 15th of February 2019

It's been all heart-shaped this week in Pure Records with some family birthdays, Valentine's Day, Ruth Notman and Sam Kelly's Changeable Heart album going on pre-order and to top it all, that sniff of spring in the air and a first dig in the allotment! Hooray!

Tracks from Changeable Heart have also been making their way across the airwaves this week all over the country on different radio stations so the cat is well and truly out of the bag.

Pre-order Changeable Heart here

It's decisions...decisions on the album artwork for Kate's new album with some right old curved balls being thrown from the designer...all will be revealed soon...Brownie points for those who get the reference 'none more black' if we were considering a plain black album cover...

And how will we launch the album? on a dock with a bottle of champagne or in Barnsley with tea bag?

We've also just got the news that Kate is now an ambassador for Music for All, a brilliant charity who believe - as we all do - that music changes lives. It really does...

...and we'll leave you with that thought this week.

Earworm of the week: Proclaimers' 500 miles

This week’s teabag count: 56...Emma's gone all fruity but we've had painters in the kitchen.

Sally’s nugget of wisdom: Emotion is created by motion...think on.

More next week…
