Captain’s (B)Log: Friday 5th of April 2019

Wow what a busy week!

On Tuesday, we were finally able to announce the album title and the cover to the world!

As you can see from the photo, the album is called 'Philosophers, Poets and Kings' and on Wednesday Mark Radcliffe's Folk Show on Radio 2 was the first airplay of the track 'Jenny' - which is apt for any horse racing fans this weekend.

And to top it all off, last night was the first gig in the Spring Tour and the first play of 7...yes 7 brand new songs. Kate said that it went really well and she enjoyed it so that's always good. You can keep up to date with daily tour goings including GigCam on at Kate's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

Kate plays in Royal Leamington Spa tonight before 2 sell-out shows in Kings Place London tomorrow and Kettering on Sunday. We'll let you know how it all goes in next week's blog.

Earworm of the week: Jenny from the new album!

This week’s teabag count: 104 plus 12 pots of coffee - there has been a lot of rehearsing!!

Steve's Quote of the Week: (when asked about any tips for the Grand National?) “Yes - back Loose Button - it’s forced to come off"
