Damien O'Kane

Damien O’Kane is a musician of many talents. He’s a singer. A very good one, too, with a relaxed, assured vocal style that exudes a natural warmth and empathy with the colourful characters who occupy his songs.  He’s also a brilliant banjo player; a fine guitarist; an ingenious arranger; an accomplished tunemaker, researcher, bandleader and accompanist of rich imagination and fearless vision.

Damien has recorded 3 albums with Ron Block.  Take two people who know their scenes inside-out, put them in a studio and add a heady dose of bromance, and you get a crossover of Irish banjo and bluegrass banjo that has never quite been offered before.
